When I was a kid, collecting cards of Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Sandy Koufax was my way of being in touch with these sports heroes.
Although I couldn't afford too many cards, I cherished the few that I owned. I also cherished the time spent with my father talking about how great these players were!
As I look back, each of these cards has a very special meaning to me.
What makes sportscards a great collectible? Lasting through time -- what makes something a real collectible? A true collectible passes the test of time. Sportscard collectibles have remained popular year after year for the past 40 to 50 years!
Rookie cards and autographed items in sportscard racks are hot! Ken Griffey, Jr's 1989 Upper Deck Rookie Card is valued at $160.00. Last year's Randy Moss Upper Deck SP Authentic Football Rookie Card is valued at $400.00! Koby Bryant's 1996 Topps Chrome Basketball Rookie Card is $325.00. Plus, you also have a chance in pulling (finding a card in a pack or box) a Michael Jordan autographed Jersey Card that is valued at $10,000.00! One of our customers pulled one a few months ago!
Start collecting as a hobby and have fun together as a family!
