Designer/CEO Mamo Howell, applies a lifetime of high fashion and houte
couture experience with her Hawaiian cultural roots to create a totally
new and authentic view of what has commonly been known as "Hawaiian" and
"Aloha" resort wear. Each of her designs depicts the visual flavors
of Hawaii and Polynesia. Not a riot of colors, but rather a symphony
of art, culture and design.
The "Mamo", as it is commonly known in Hawaii, is a blend of beautifully
engineered prints and color combinations with very fashion forward apparel
styles for women, children and men. While the traditional Muu Muu
dresses are always available, Mamo Howell has recreated the Hawaiian clothing
industry to allow women in particular to dress for the resort yet be
stylish and elegant as well. With a Mamo Howell design, one can select
from a wide variety of styles and prints to fit any occasion, from Polynesian
Casual to Hawaiian Island Resort Formal.
Mamo Howell's original design prints are hand silk screened on the
best cotton, cotton blend and rayon fabrics. Her style offerings
are manufactured in Hawaii and sold at retail at the Mamo Howell store
in the Ward Warehouse Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
